The NCBC is proud to offer a Group Life Insurance Program to eligible NCBC
Members and Judicial Department employees that can save you money. Our
coverage may be available to you either to supplement the life insurance
coverage you already have, or to replace it, if you wish. If you compare
this with the FEGLI program (www.opm.gov/insure/life), most people will
find significant cost savings under the NCBC sponsored program. More
information is contained below and we urge you to take a look at the
benefits of this new coverage.
During the initial offering (July 15 - August 15) you can get coverage for
yourself, your spouse and eligible children without evidence of
insurability (it is guaranteed issue up to certain limits). The NCBC Life
Insurance Program is underwritten by Aetna, one of the largest and
financially strong insurance companies in the U.S. NCBC plans to make this
program permanent for Members and hope that you appreciate its value and
